Research at the Chair of Analytical Chemistry takes place within five research groups:

  1. Development of new and improvement of existing analytical procedures/methods for determination of selected target analytes
  2. Environmental quality improvement – development of the method of monitoring and removal of biological active substances
  3. Ionic liquids – solvents of the XXI century
  4. Physicochemical characterization of newly synthesized compounds: structure-property correlations
  5. Computational and analytical chemistry of the environment

Members of the Chair have developed fruitful cooperation with colleages from numerous foregin institutions from Hungary, Romania, Italy, Greece, France, Slovenia, USA, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Czech Republic, Austria Croatia and People’s Republic of China and the collaboration has been realized through the projects within the program of the European Union Agency for Reconstruction, IPA, SEE-ERA.NET Plus, CEPUS, ERASMUS+. At the national level, the Chair members cooperate with the colleagues form a number of academic institions within the universities of Novi Sad, Belgrade and Kragujevac.

Apart from scientific research, the members of the Chair, on request of service users, are engaged in the investigations of different materials.

To the present, the Chair members have participated in the realization of 50 national and international projects.
