Research focus:

Members of the COMPUTATIONAL AND ANALYTICAL ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY research group are engaged in understanding the fundamental processes of degradation and analysis of organic pollutants. Research activities are based on the application of both experimental methods and computer calculations, and artificial intelligence.

Equipment:

  • Liquid chromatograph UFLC Shimadzu NexeraTM with diode array (UV/VIS), fluorescence, and conductivity detectors
  • T80 + UV/VIS spectrophotometer
  • ANDRONA SIA, mode: Crystal ex, ultra-pure water
  • Computer workstation with installed software for modeling

Other:

The group members have published over 135 scientific papers in international journals. In addition, group members have participated in many national and international meetings. Members of the group have reviewed many articles for international journals and held significant scientific and popular lectures.

Within the research group, a number of graduation and master’s theses were done by students on the topic of analysis and photodegradation of biologically active compounds and molecular modeling. Currently, four PhD students are working in the mentioned field.

The research group members actively involve students of all levels of study in scientific research activities. In addition, the group members are interested in establishing national and international cooperation.
