Scientific project (Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia)

Project number: 172059

Duration: 2011-

Project leader: dr Sanja Panić, Research Associate, Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad

Research focus

Development of new and improvement of existing analytical procedures/methods for determination of selected target analytes in different matrices. Special attention is devoted to the development and/or application of simple but contemporary voltammetric working electrodes and biosensors for determination of target analytes traces. Additionally, development of methods for removal of selected target analytes from aqueous media including extraction procedures and adsorption and/or chemical and photochemical processes promoted removal procedures.

Equipment

Potentiostat/galvanostat Autalab PG12, Potentiostat/galvanostat Palmsens2, Potentiostat Emstat, Conductometer/potentiometer, Schott titration equipment and Schott automatic burette, Agilent Infinity HPLC equipment 1290, DAD (1290), FID (1260) i RID (1260), and different smaller laboratory unites.

Collaborations

In Serbia: with some researcher teams from the University of Novi Sad and University of Beograd.

International: University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Via CEEPUSIII mobility program AGH University, Krakow, and University of Lodz, Poland, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic, Karl Franzens University, Graz, Austria, University of Szeged, Hungary. Currently – start of ERASMUS+ project with Keele University, England and collaboration with Prince Songkla University, Thailand.

Other

The research group started its work and was successfully developed under the mentorship of prof. Dr. Valéria Guzsvány†. The members of the group participated in production of a large number of students’ graduate and master works in the field of development of new and improvement of existing analytical procedures/metods for determination of selected target analytes, as well as in the organization of an international meeting Young Investigators Seminar on Analytical Chemistry (YISAC, 2011. and 2016). In addition to the current participation in scientific projects, in the earlier period researchers from the group have participated in the realization of the bilateral project “Novel extraction procedures in methods for determination of total antioxidative capacity and toxic substances in fruits and foodstuffs of plant origin” (Serbia-Slovenia, 2016-2017), and a national project “Development of the chemical methods for the analysis of acetamiprid insecticide”, Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development, Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Serbia (2013-2014).

The group is interested in expanding existing and establishing new scientific collaborations.
