The existence of various scientific groups within the Chair confirms the multidisciplinarity and wide interest of the Chair members when it comes to the scientific work. The spectrum of interest spreads from inorganic syntheses and characterization of complex compounds, different chromatographic methods and chemometrics, antioxidative properties of medicinal plants, to nanomaterials, their characterization and application.

The scientific research of the members of the Chair of General and Inorganic Chemistry is realized through different activities. The most numerous are the projects that have been financed by the Ministry of Science and the current projects supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, and the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development of the Province of Vojvodina. Besides, the members of the Chair have been engaged in many international projects and projects of bilateral cooperation, as well as in cooperation with the members of numerous national and international institutes.
