The members of the Chair of Chemistry Teaching Methodologyare engaged in doing research in several directions:
- levels of knowledge representation in chemistry
- history of chemistry and history of chemistry teaching
- a systematic approach to learning and training in chemistry
- complexity of problem tasks
- initial education and professional development of chemistry teachers
- learning styles in teaching chemistry
- motivation factors
- giftedness in the study of chemistry
- ecological education
- education of chemistry teachers
At the Chemistry Teaching Methodology, there are ongoing research on the development of new methods of evaluation in chemistry teaching at all levels of education: primary, secondary and high education.
Members of the Chair are involved in several projects financed by the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia and international organizations.
