The library of the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection was founded in 1962 as part of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. Today it is the best equipped chemical library in Vojvodina.
The library is a reading room with 20 seats equipped with computers where students can prepare preliminary exams and exams.
There are 22 000 examples of monographic publications and it contains books ( textbooks, encyclopaedias, dictionaries), PhD and master works, as well as graduation exams. From its founding until today 1100 thesis works defended at the department are being kept. In addition, 375 titles of periodicals with 4200 sub titles 43000 booklets. Over 80% are foreign periodicals in the area of chemistry, biochemistry and environmental protection.
The library is open from Monday to Friday from 07.30h – 14.30h.
Library members can be students of chemistry, biochemistry and ecology, post graduate students as well as teaching personnel. Any other interested parties may borrow books upon presenting a piece of identification and in accordance with the regulations of the library.
